FLUX.2 [pro] is my pick for photorealistic shots without lettering and for scenes stitched from several reference photos. Nano Banana Pro wins when the image has to carry text, especially with accented letters, or when you need 4K or more than 8 references. In my own scoring Nano Banana Pro came out clearly ahead overall, and most of that lead came from text.

How to decide
My image ranking on the Polish blog used the same five prompts for each model: Nano Banana Pro scored 9.0/10 and FLUX.2 [pro] 7.6/10. Without text FLUX.2 held up well, with 8.5 for the illustration, the portrait and the food shot, and it was quicker (13 s against 18.6 s, measured with another provider). The Polish sign pulled it down to 5/10, and a separate typography test found at least four errors in three graphics. So: text in the image - Nano Banana Pro; pure photo - FLUX.2 [pro]. A three-way look is in GPT Image 2.5 vs Nano Banana Pro vs FLUX.2, and all tiers are on the pricing page.
Questions
I like FLUX.2 but need lettering. What can I do?
Leave empty space in the layout and add the text yourself in an editor afterward. That avoids broken accents entirely.
Can FLUX get to 4K?
Not with FLUX.2 [pro], which tops out at 2K. For bigger files, up to 4 MP, look at FLUX.2 [max].
Does a failed image cost anything?
No. If a generation fails or is rejected, the held amount goes back to your balance in full.
