Charged from a prepaid USD balance, no taxes added. PixVerse V6: extras like audio or pro mode raise the price; Studio and estimated_cost give the exact figure first. A failed generation is $0.
PixVerse V6 keeps costs down: it starts at 360p and 1 second, merges up to seven photos into a scene and takes a negative prompt. Seedance 2.0 costs three to five times more at the same resolution, but adds 4K, sound at no surcharge and references from video clips and voice recordings, not just photos. My rule: a scene from a few photos at up to 1080p goes to PixVerse, anything that needs a moving reference, a voice or 4K goes to Seedance.
When to pick PixVerse V6
- Drafting prompts at 360p or 540p while ideas are still loose.
- Inserts of 1-3 s, shorter than Seedance's 4 s minimum.
- One clip combining a product, a character and a background from separate photos.
- A text-only 2:3 portrait or 3:2 landscape.
When to pick Seedance 2.0
- An ad shot at 1080p or 4K with sound already in the file.
- A character animated from a reference clip and voiced from a recording.
- A real person shown from reference media, with consent.
- A shot whose length you leave to the model (
duration: -1).
Differences you will notice

At 720p Seedance is about 4.2x silent PixVerse and 3.3x PixVerse with sound; at 1080p about 5.2x and 4.2x. Even Seedance's 480p is about 2.6x PixVerse at 540p silent.

- References. Both accept first and last frames. PixVerse fuses 1-7 images. Seedance takes up to 9 images, 3 clips and 3 audio files; clip seconds in
video_urlsare added to the bill. - Formats and prompt. PixVerse has 8 ratios including 2:3, 3:2 and 21:9, used for text-only and multi-image fusion; Seedance has 7 including 21:9 and
adaptive. Prompts: 5,000 characters plusnegative_promptandseedin PixVerse, 20,000 in Seedance.
How to decide
Draft in PixVerse at 540p, then render the final shot in whichever model gives the resolution and sound you need. If the brief needs 4K, a moving reference or a real person, skip straight to Seedance 2.0. With duration: -1 Seedance holds funds as for 15 s and settles at the delivered length. Questions
Have you compared their image quality?
Not on the same task, so I make no claim about which looks better. The differences above come from the model specs and rates.
Can PixVerse V6 extend a clip it made earlier?
The vendor offers that, but the comparison here covers the fields available for generation. For longer pieces, plan separate shots.
Which is cheaper for a reel with sound?
PixVerse V6, about 3.3 times cheaper at 720p even with audio switched on.
