ShengShu's Vidu Q3 Pro includes sound, dialogue and effects, in every rate, runs from 1 to 16 seconds and offers five aspect ratios. Kling 3.0 brings 4K, reference images and cheaper silent clips. With sound on at 1080p they cost practically the same per second, so features decide here, not price.
When to pick Vidu Q3 Pro
- Very short 1-2 s cuts for a fast-paced edit.
- Scenes with dialogue and effects where you do not want an audio surcharge to think about.
- One unbroken 16-second shot.
- 4:3 or 3:4 frames generated from a text prompt.
When to pick Kling 3.0
- Delivery in 4K.
- Silent B-roll at 720p or 1080p, where Kling costs clearly less.
- A character or product drawn from 2 reference photos.
- Projects where only some shots need sound, such as an English line with lip sync.
Differences you will notice
- Price with sound. Vidu Q3 Pro costs from $0.142 per second at 720p, Kling 3.0 from $0.0963 per second at 1080p silent. With audio, Kling at 1080p is about 1% above Vidu, and at 720p Vidu is about 25% above Kling.
- Price without sound. Vidu's rate does not drop when you mute it (
generate_audio: false), so silent Kling wins: Vidu is about 1.8x at 720p and 1.5x at 1080p. Vidu at 540p is the cheapest option in the pair, about 16% below silent Kling at 720p. - Length and resolution. Vidu: 1-16 s (default 5), 540p, 720p, 1080p. Kling: 3-15 s (default 6), 720p, 1080p, 4K.
- Inputs. Both take text, a start frame or a first and last frame. Kling adds 2 reference images.
- Formats and prompt. Vidu has 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4 and 1:1, text-only mode only; Kling has 16:9, 9:16 and 1:1. Prompts: 2,000 characters plus

How to decide
- Every shot needs sound, or the shot is very short or 16 s long: Vidu Q3 Pro.
- 4K, references or mostly silent footage: Kling 3.0.
I have not tested Vidu Q3 Pro yet, so no claims about its picture or speech. Kling 3.0 Standard scored 6.75/10 in my first video ranking, and the Pro tier missed 10 of 12 words in a hard Polish sentence, so test any non-English line in both first. Kling 3.0 with audio off. Vidu charges the same whether or not it makes sound.
Can Vidu Q3 Pro hold a product's look from photos?
Only through a start frame or a first and last frame. For two separate reference images, use Kling 3.0.
Which goes higher in resolution?
Kling 3.0, with a 4K tier. Vidu Q3 Pro stops at 1080p.
